4. Camera Usage & Permissions

Heart Rate Hero requires camera access for two features:

4.1 Heart Rate Monitoring

We use your device's camera and flash to detect blood flow changes in your fingertip through a process called photoplethysmography (PPG). This process:

• Analyzes light absorption changes in real-time
• Does not record or store any video
• Processes all data locally on your device
• Does not transmit any camera data externally

4.2 AI Food Scanner

The food scanning feature uses your camera to:

• Capture food images for nutritional analysis
• Process images using on-device AI models
• Delete images immediately after analysis
• Store only the nutritional data results

4.3 Permission Management

You can control camera permissions at any time through:

• iOS Settings > Privacy > Camera > Heart Rate Hero
• The app will request permission when you first use features requiring camera access
• You can revoke permissions at any time, though this will disable camera-based features

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Apple Services

Heart Rate Hero integrates with the following Apple services:

• App Store: For app distribution and subscription management
• StoreKit: For processing subscription payments
• HealthKit (Optional): If you choose to sync data with Apple Health

These integrations are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive any personal information from these services.
